This class can authenticate Linux/Unix users with passwd or shadow files.
It can check the system passwd or shadow files to verify if a given password crypt hash is correct for a given system user name.
The class can be used when executed by a system user with sudo permissions to access the system passwd or shadow files.

Some applications need to provide access to authenticated users with accounts in the same Linux server that is working as Web server.
This class provides a PHP wrapper to implement Linux accounts based authentication with the necessary workarounds to make it possible to authenticate even the root user.
